Missing Joliet Woman Found: Police
A Silver Alert was issued for the 69-year-old after she was last seen walking on Friday.

JOLIET, IL — A 69-year-old woman who went missing on Friday has been found, Joliet police said Sunday, a day after a Silver Alert was issued amid her disappearance.
On Facebook, a person identifying herself as the missing woman's daughter said she was taken to St. Joe's hospital after an area resident spotted her and called 911.

"It was you guys that brought her back ... We came together," she wrote. "I truly wanna think everybody from the bottom of my heart."

JOLIET — The Joliet Police Department has issued a press release urging people to be on the lookout for a 69-year-old woman who has vanished without a trace from the far west side of Joliet, near Plainfield.
Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English said that at 3:28 p.m. on Friday, officers responded to a house in the 8500 Foxborough Way for a report of a missing adult. Upon arrival, 69-year-old Mary Anne Smith was reported missing by her family after it was believed that she had walked away from her residence at approximately 3 p.m.
Smith was last depicted on a surveillance camera in the 8600 block of Foxborough Way on Friday afternoon, Joliet police noted.
English said that his agency's officers immediately began an extensive search of the area, utilizing drones and K9’s. The search continued at the time of Friday's late night news release.
Smith’s description was shared with residents of the area through a reverse 911 call and a Silver Alert has been issued for Smith in conjunction with the Illinois State Police.
