Car burglary

A purse was stolen from a car parked in the Village Market lot, 400 block of La Grange Road, La Grange Park police said. The owner reported around 9 p.m. that someone had shattered the passenger side window.

Garage door vandalized

Someone wrote with black marker on an overhead garage door overnight in the 600 block of Stone, police said.

Friday, April 5

Stolen mailbox cover

A brass or copper mailbox cover was taken from a home in the 1000 block of Forest, police said. The cover was worth less than $500.

Car burglary

A purse was taken around 5:45 p.m. from an unlocked car parked at the Village Market, 400 block of La Grange Road, police said. The purse, which was recovered April 8, didn’t contain any cash or credit cards.
