2 Women Scuffle in Senior Center Parking Lot
One woman accused another of nearly hitting her with her van before the verbal fight turned violent, police said.

Two women got into a fight outside the Betty Scheck Senior Center on April 3, resulting in battery charges for one of them, La Grange Park police said.
One of the women was pushing her nephew in a stroller when she said the other woman, Denisha L. Ward, 26, nearly struck her with her van around 2:40 p.m. in the center’s parking lot entrance, located at 1136 N. Maple Ave. in La Grange Park.
The women got into a verbal fight that turned physical when the first woman said Ward, of the 1300 block of West Jackson in Chicago, attacked her, according to the report. The first woman received cuts to her right upper lip and scratch marks to her left cheek and neck, police said.

Ward said she hit the first woman after that woman pushed her, the report said. The woman scratched Ward’s face and cut her thumb, police said.
Ward was charged with simple battery, police said. The other woman was not charged.
