'Afternoon of the Elves' at the Children's Theatre of Western Springs

The High School Repertory Company of the Children's Theatre of Western Springs presents Y. York’s stage adaptation of Janet Taylor Lisle’s Newbery Honor Book, "Afternoon of the Elves."

Performances take place:

• 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 13
• 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 14
• 7:30pm Saturday, May 14
• 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 15

As Hillary works in the miniature village (allegedly built by elves) in Sara-Kate's backyard, she becomes more and more curious about Sara-Kate's real life inside her big, gloomy house with her mysterious, silent mother. This story about friendship and acceptance will stay with audiences long after they leave the theatre. Afternoon of the Elves runs May 13-15 at the Theatre of Western Springs, 4384 Hampton Ave.

Performances will be in our intimate Cattell Theatre, so seating is limited. Tickets are $6 for students 18 and younger and $12 for adults. All performances take place at the Theatre of Western Springs, 4384 Hampton Avenue, Western Springs, IL. Free parking is available.

"Afternoon of the Elves" is recommended for audiences in third grade and up.
