Cooling Center Available Over Hot Weekend in La Grange

Village officials announced today that a cooling center has been set up at La Grange Memorial Hospital for the weekend when temperatures are expected to reach into the 90s.

Temperatures on Friday and Saturday are expected to reach the 90s and then dip slightly on Sunday to a high of 87. With the heat in mind, the village of La Grange announced today that a cooling center will be set up at for residents that need to beat the heat.

The cooling center will be available Sat., June 16 through Mon., June 18, between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. when temperatures will be at their height.

The village also reminded residents that the heat can be especially hard on older adults. Patch would like to remind you to take a break and check in on older neighbors with a friendly hello.

Be sure to drink a lot of water and take it easy. There's probably a hammock calling your name in the backyard—it'll be a great weekend to use it.
