LT Auto Mechanics to Compete in Engine Rebuild Competition
Can LT's auto mechanic students rebuild an engine in 28 minutes?

Student's enrolled in auto mechanics classes will head to Michigan at the end of May with a goal of winning first place in an engine rebuild competition.
Last year, LT placed 11th in the state with a time of 57 minutes to tear down and rebuild an engine. Last year the winning team managed to complete their rebuild in 29 minutes, which LT hopes to beat this year.
The school recently got some help from a recently donated 355 V8 Chevrolet engine and components to train for the rebuild. Additionally, the school also recently received two car donations for use in the Auto Mechanics program: a Honda Civic Hybrid and a Volkswagen Beetle.
