Lyons Township High School automotive teacher Jordan Engelhardt was recently named as one of Autoweek Magazine’s 30 & under: Stories of a changing car culture, as told by those who are living it now.

Engelhardt was profiled and highlighted as helping reinvigorate the automotive program at LT. His hands-on, creative approach has inspired students and grown the curriculum, extending it beyond the classroom to an after school Car Care Club. He has helped establish internships for students, competed on engine rebuilds, designed a service station, allowing students the opportunity to work on vehicle repairs and diagnostics, as well as developed special projects such as building go-karts and turbo-charged engines.
