New Boutique Hosts Ladies Night Event on Saturday

The new La Grange clothing and jewelry store on Burlington Avenue is located just across the street from the La Grange Road train station. Sporting a hip, urban collection of designers and styles, B Boutique has defined itself as a place La Grange shoppers can pick up some really fashionable looks for summer events.

"We've got lots of colorful pieces that are really trending for summer right now," said Tranesha Ballard, store manager. "The high-low dresses have been really popular."

B Boutique, Ballard said, should be the go-to place for shoppers looking for something in-style and chic to wear to events this summer. The store caters to a 25 to 45-year-old demographic of shoppers on the move.

"We've specialize in clothes for customers who wants to look great at work, or going to an event like a wedding, or a summer party," Ballard said of the selection.

The store sports items from popular designers like Maggie London and London Times, and also emerging designers like Gracia, a New York-based designer. Also popular, have been items from Beth Baskiewiez’s jewelry line, Creative Beads, based in Lombard.

"We want our customers to be able to look good running around town, or looking great at a more formal event," Ballard said.

Ballard, also the assistant buyer at B Boutique, said that when she's considering the store's collections, she looks for items that are in-style, with a nod toward the classics.

"It should be something that looks great now, but will still look great for years," Ballard said.

Looking for a reason to drop in? The store has a number of events coming up, the first of which is this weekend. On Saturday, B Boutique is hosting a Ladies Night event in collaboration with , the store's next-door neighbor.

"We'll have wine you can sample and most everything in the store will be 15 percent off," Ballard said.

The Ladies Night event runs from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.

Prices at B Boutique are reasonable. Dresses range from $65 to $140, tops start at $39 and jeans run from $75 to $110.

"We hope we have a little something for everyone," Ballard said.
