Park In La Grange To Be Named After Ex-Official

LA GRANGE, IL – Community Park in La Grange at 200 S. Washington Ave. is set to be named after Mary Ellen Penicook, a former park board member.

According to the village's website, Penicook served for two decades.

The Park District of La Grange's board plans to vote on naming the park at Monday's meeting.

The park board has named the Community Center at the park after Lynn Lacey, who served on the park board for 10 years.

"Both made a lasting impact on the District," the district's website said.
