Police said there was an argument among the residents about missing property.

Lyons, IL - John Arnold, 67, has been charged with two counts of first degree murder for the deaths of two people who were killed April 24 at a senior facility in the Village of Lyons.

Arnold was a resident of Riverwalk Senior Residences, 8019 Ogden Ave., and he was a neighbor of the deceased, according to Ray Hanania, a Lyons police spokesperson.

One of the victims has been identified as David Bosseler, 73. The other victim was a 51-year-old woman who has not yet been identified. Both lived at Riverwalk Senior Residences.

Police said Bosseler and the woman knew Arnold, and they had an argument over the weekend about missing property. Arnold told police Bosseler had taken something, according to Hanania.

Arnold waited outside Bosseler's apartment the morning of April 24 until the door opened, and he lunched inside, police said. Arnold reportedly attacked both Bosseler and the woman with a large knife, and both victims were stabbed multiple times.
