Red Mango is La Grange's one and only place that specializes in frozen yogurt. This place is always busy on the weekend. It's a great place to go for a wide-range of toppings too. The self-serve aspect is nice too, since it lets you decide how much you get in a serving. Best of all, in my humble opinion, Red Mango gets it just right in the sweet vs. sour department.
For some people, eating ice cream just isn't worth it if it's not gelato, and this is where to go for it in La Grange.
If you were a student at Ogden Avenue School or Park Junior High, you know and love this place. Not only can you pick up a wide assortment of sweet treats on your way home from school, you can get a scoop of ice cream too. With delightful owners and a long history in the neighborhood, it's a favorite of many in the area.
I have to say, I've honestly not tried the ice cream here, but I hear it's off the chains! If their caramel apples and assorted chocolates are any indication of the quality you'll get a Rocky Mountain, then sign me up for a scoop. You'll get it with a smile at Rocky Mountain. Seems like every time I talk to someone about this place, they can't help but say how great the staff is!
Cold Stone is the place to go if you're a big fan of toppings—and wide selections! Cold Stone sports 25 topping choices and 16 flavors of ice cream. Additionally, you can get cupcakes, shakes and even frozen yogurt.
