Woman Charged With Arson Faces New Charges Following Incident in La Grange

The La Grange Police Department shared the following information concerning the recent arrest of Karen A. Uzuanis, of Palos Hills, IL.

 

The La Grange Police Department is reporting that Karen A. Uzuanis, 39, of Palos Hills, IL has been charged with residential burglary and other charges related to a police investigation on the 0-100 block of Waiola Avenue that occurred on March 13, 2012. 

At the time of this burglary, Uzuanis was already on bond for an aggravated arson charge, . Bond on that case was set at $100,000. The victim of the arson is also the victim of this residential burglary. He and Uzuanis are acquainted with each other.

The other charges filed against Uzuanis are aggravated assault and unlawful use of a weapon (a knife) and unlawful possession of ammunition (2 shotgun shells). Uzuanis was formally charged and she was taken to Cook County’s 5th District Circuit Court in Bridgeview, IL on March 20, 2012, where bond was set at $450,000.
