5-Year-Old In Critical Condition After Falling In Pool In Lemont: Sheriff

LEMONT, IL — A 5-year-old child is in critical condition after falling into a pool in unincorporated Lemont Township, the Cook County Sheriff's Office said.

Sheriff's police responded to a home on Silver Fox Drive at 7:30 p.m. on July 4 for the incident. The sheriff's office said officers learned that the child fell in a pool, and Lemont Fire Protection District paramedics had already started life-saving measures.

The child was taken to the hospital, and remains in critical condition, police said.
