Cinco de Mayo: Best Mexican Restaurants in Downers Grove, Lemont

Tacos, tostadas, margaritas, olé! Spicy food and bebidas from south of the border are going to be happily imbibed as anyone seeking a reason to eat, drink and be merry celebrates Cinco de Mayo.

Who would guess that a victory by the Mexican Militia over the French at the Battle of Puebla would turn into such a huge holiday in the United States. Cinco de Mayo has grown into a drinking holiday in the states, thanks in part to marketing from alcohol companies. In Mexico, it’s not really much celebrated.  

But, who cares about that.

We perused the Yelp! directory to find out the best Mexican restaurants in town. Based on Yelp!'s highest-rated star ranking, here are the top five restaurants in Downers Grove and Lemont.
