Former 'Next Food Network Star' Contestant Visits Lemont High School

Chef Paul Young, a Chicago-area native, helped students prepare traditional French dishes to celebrate National French Week.

French classes got a special lesson in culinary arts this week from professional chef Paul Young, a former contestant on "The Next Food Network Star."

Young, who was featured on the show's sixth season, is the cousin of Lemont junior Kathy Balnius. He visited the school on Monday and Tuesday for National French Week, and helped students make two traditional French dishes — croque-monsieur (ham and cheese sandwich) and mousse au chocolat (chocolate mousse).
