Holmes Street Railroad Crossing to Close for Emergency Repairs
Canadian National Railway will close the crossing Thursday, village officials announced. Additional work will need to be done in the coming weeks.
The Holmes Street railroad crossing near downtown Lemont will be closed Thursday for emergency repairs, village officials announced Wednesday morning.
According to an alert from the , officials were notified by Canadian National Railway that workers will be fixing the railroad tracks near Holmes Street on Thursday.
The crossing is expected to be open Friday, but will likely be closed again in the coming weeks for additional repairs.
