Lemont Board Approves Parking Garage Improvements

The contract, for $115,000, is for parking garage improvements for the garage off of River Street.

LEMONT, IL — At the Lemont Village Board meeting on Monday, the Board approved a $115,000 contract for parking garage improvements for the Village-owned parking garage off of River Street in downtown Lemont.

Public Works Director Ralph Pukula said the contract is for repair work that the garage needs.

"There were three bids, with Berglund Construction coming in with the low bid at $115,000," Pukula said. "This work will include concrete sealer, epoxy crack injection, some storm drain repair, some joint sealer; all work that needs to be done to the garage to keep it functional."

The low bid of $115,000 was under the engineer's estimate of $203,715, according to Board documents.
