Lemont Park District Offering New Flag Football League This Fall

The league introduces young and middle school students to the basics of flag football on Sundays and will be played in a 6 vs. 6 format.

LEMONT, IL — Lemont youngsters who want to learn the basics of football will have the opportunity to be part of a new flag football league that is being offered by the Lemont Park District this fall.

The league is open to students between the third and eighth grades and will introduce them to the basics of flag football. The league will be played in a 6 vs. 6 format, organizers said, with games being played on Sundays. There will also be one team practice per week.

Sign-ups for the league ends on July 30 and play will begin on Sept. 10 and will run through Oct. 29.

The cost of the league is $125 for the season for Lemont residents and $188 for the season for those living outside of the village. Players will receive a logo jersey and a flag belt as part of their registration.
