Lemont Plans Community Meeting For Accessibility Plans

LEMONT, IL — The Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning and the Village of Lemont will hold a community meeting on Oct. 15, seeking feedback on the Village's plan for accessible streets and sidewalks.

According to the Village, it is developing an ADA transition plan to identity future improvements for accessibility of sidewalks, curb ramps and crosswalks.

The community meeting will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Lemont Park District Centennial Community Center, 16028 127th St.

Village staff, staff from the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning, and Oates Associates will discuss the plan and learn about the challenges community members face.
