LEMONT, IL — Lemont's own Jason Gongol and his teammates recently brought home a national title from the American Poolplayers Association, winning the 2025 Masters Championship out of 384 competing teams, according to a news release.

Jason is married to Tanya Blazevich-Gongol, who co-owns Petersen’s Main Inn with her mother, Linda. The Main Inn also offers very popular area pool leagues on its historic tables.

Competing under the name “MainShots,” this elite team represents an alliance between Lemont and Joliet, with ties to both Petersen’s Main Inn and Longshots bar in Joliet. Gongol’s teammates include Jeff Sergent, Leonardo Lopez-Hernandez and Michael Bandy.
