LHS Baseball Advances To Sectional Semi-Final

LEMONT, IL — Lemont High School's baseball team has advanced to the sectional semi-final, and will play against Oak Forest on Wednesday.

Lemont captured its 15th regional title on May 31, defeating Hinsdale South 6-1, according to IHSA.

LHS said the program has won the regional title consecutively from 2021-24 (and now 2025). The team also finished as the IHSA Class 3A state runner-up last year.

Lemont will play Oak Forest at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday in the Burbank (St. Laurence) sectional. According to IHSA, the winner of the semi-final will play the winner of St. Laurence vs. St. Rita in the sectional final on June 7.

Earlier this season, the baseball program shared the South Suburban Conference-Blue Division title. LHS said the team was also the runner-up in the Do It Stevie's Way Tournament, which was the best finish in program history.
