LHS Softball To Play Ottawa In Sectional Semi-Final

LEMONT, IL — Lemont High School softball team will compete in the sectional semi-final on Tuesday against Ottawa.

Last week, the team captured its 20th IHSA Regional title, including its ninth straight since 2016. Lemont defeated Thornton Fractional North, 21-0, on May 30 to capture the regional championship.

Earlier this season, Lemont was also the South Suburban Conference-Blue Division Champion, the school said. The team was also the state runner-up in 2021 and the state champions in 2022 and 2023.

Lemont will play Ottawa at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday as part of the Ottawa Sectional, according to IHSA. The winner of the game will play the winner of Providence Catholic vs. Tinley Park in the sectional final.
