LHS to Host 'A Play About a Dragon'
The Drama Club's annual fall play will run Friday and Saturday at the Lemont High School Performing Arts Center.

Lemont High School students will take the stage this weekend for two nights of "laughter, thrills, danger and true love" as the Drama Club hosts the school's annual fall play.
A Play About a Dragon will run Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. in the Lemont High School Performing Arts Center, 800 Porter St. Tickets may be purchased at the door; the cost is $7 for adults and $5 for children, senior citizens and students with a valid school ID.
Set in the Middle Ages, Steph DeFerie’s A Play About a Dragon features a traveling troupe of actors that believes it has committed to performing a play about a dragon for King Stanley the Stern. However, they have actually volunteered to slay a real dragon, and by the time they discover their mistake, it's too late to turn back. They are challenged to succeed where may brave heroes previously have failed, but they benefit from assistance from a humorous cast of characters.
A Play About a Dragon will be performed under the direction of Sharon Jacobs, with Roy Nees serving as the assistant director and Dan Franke in charge of set construction. Junior Kylie Obbish is the production’s student director, while junior Hannah Richa will serve as the stage manager.
Those planning to attend either performance may park in the school’s parking garage or the lot outside the Performing Arts Center; both are accessible off of Julia Street.
