New Fitness and Training Center Opens in Lemont

A new 10,000-square-foot fitness and training facility in Lemont opened its doors in January.

Next Level Training Academy, located at 12301 S. New Ave., offers fitness and athletic programs led by former professional athletes and world-class trainers, according to a press release.

The academy specializes in the CrossF.I.T. training program, which uses a variety of techniques from weightlifting, gymnastics and metabolic conditioning, according to the release. Classes are led by professional tri-athlete Guy Petruzzelli, who tailors the program to fit individuals of different skill levels.

In addition to a weightroom and training area, the facility is equipped with a small indoor baseball field and batting cages.

Training programs are available for baseball teams or individual players. The batting cage is also available for rent.

Next Level Training Academy was founded by former professional baseball player Chris Knollin.
