District 113A to Consider Updated ISBE Financial Plan, Superintendent Search Process
The Lemont-Bromberek Combined School District 113A Board of Education will hold a special meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Old Quarry Middle School LRC.

The Board of Education will discuss its state financial plan and ongoing superintendent search during a special meeting Wednesday night.
According to the meeting agenda, the Illinois State Board of Education has requested that District 113A update its financial plan, which the district has been following since being certified in financial difficulty in December 2009.
District 113A Superintendent Tim Ricker has advised school board members that they must submit an updated financial plan with projections for fiscal years 2012, 2013 and 2014.

Deb Vespa, ISBE division administrator for school business services, has requested that the information be submitted as soon as possible so she can update the state board on District 113A's progress and its outlook for the future.
During Wednesday's meeting, District 113A board members will also consider its superintendent search process. Board President Mike Aurelio will lead a discussion on the search, according to the meeting agenda.

The District 113A school board is tasked with finding a successor for Ricker, that he will retire at the end of the current school year.
Last month, the board to assist in the superintendent search process. Basic services will cost the district between $5,000 and $7,500, according to IASB representatives.
Most recently, IASB representatives conducted an online survey of board members, staff, parents and community members to determine desirable traits, skills and characteristics of the next superintendent.
