Police Blotter: Drug Possession, Hit and Run, Retail Theft

Friday, April 6

Retail Theft

  • David J. Welsh, 26, of 9405 W. 79th Street in Hickory Hills, was arrested at 6:17 p.m. in the 1200 block of State Street. He was charged with retail theft. He was issued an April 26 court date in Bridgeview.
Thursday, April 5

Drug Possession

John E. Praninskas, 35, of 1424 Covington Drive in Lemont, was arrested at 8:21 p.m. near Lemont Road and Illinois Street. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance, expired registration and unlawful display of a registration sticker. He was issued an April 26 court date in Bridgeview.

Wednesday, April 4

Hit and Run

Christopher S. Abels, 48, of 728 State Street in Lemont, was arrested at 5:40 p.m. following an incident in the 100 block of Stephen Street. He was charged with hit and run, failure to give information after striking a vehicle, and leaving the scene of an accident. He was issued a May 18 court date in Bridgeview.

Tuesday, April 3

Suspended License

David F. Shutak, 59, of 305 59th Street in Hinsdale, was arrested at 12:24 p.m. in the 12200 block of Archer Avenue. He was charged with driving on a suspended license and no insurance. He was issued an April 26 court date in Bridgeview.

Wednesday, March 28

Obstuction of Justice

Rachel A. Kamp, 23, of 8304 Queen Victoria Lane in Tinley Park, was arrested at 4:49 a.m. in the 900 block of Talcott Street. She was charged with obstruction of justice. She was issued an April 12 court date in Bridgeview.

Drug Possession

Christopher T. Hucko, 40, of 14618 Keystone in Midlothian, was arrested at 4:35 a.m. in the 900 block of Talcott Street. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance, possession of cannabis and criminal damage to property. He appeared at the Bridgeview courthouse for a bond hearing.
