Rep. La Ha's First Small Business Spotlight Is Matt's Barbecue

LEMONT, IL — State Representative Nicole La Ha has named Matt’s Barbecue in Lemont as the first-ever recipient of her Small Business Spotlight, a release from her office states.
“Matt embodies everything great about small businesses,” said Rep. La Ha. “His dedication, quality, and generosity make his restaurant the perfect choice for our first Small Business Spotlight.”
Matt Borner started his barbecue journey in his driveway, fueled by a simple dream to open a restaurant, according to a news release. With hard work, community support, and the help of his family, he turned that dream into a thriving small business.

From his garage on Chicago’s South Side to catering, pop-ups, a food trailer, and now a full restaurant, Matt’s Barbecue is proof of what passion and perseverance can build, Rep. La Ha's office said.
