'Resurrection on Rosehill' a Halloween Tradition in Lemont
The haunted house, located at 323 Rosehill Drive, is a decades-old event organized by Lemont Public Works Director Ralph Pukula and his family.
Before you head in for the night this Halloween, head on over to Rosehill Drive, where one Lemont family has transformed their front yard into an elaborate, haunted display.
"Resurrection on Rosehill," located at 323 Rosehill Drive, features a large, interactive exhibit of coffins, scarecrows, monsters, hayrides and other scary sights. The house has been open every night since Saturday, offering locals some lighthearted spooks while they trick-or-treat.
The haunted house has become a time-honored tradition for Ralph Pukula, whose family has put together the display every year for nearly three decades.

The decorations are handmade and take about a week to put together, Pukula said. The Pukulas get so excited for Halloween each year that several family members actually come to Lemont from out of town.
Everyone from old neighbors to Pukula's young children help pull off the spectacle — dressing in elaborate costumes and interacting with groups who visit the house.
