Road Crews To Apply Fresh Oil On Several Lemont Streets Wednesday

The village is asking drivers to avoid a number of local streets or to be aware of crews who will be working in several area locations.

LEMONT, IL — Local drivers are being advised of road work that will be taking place in certain parts of Lemont on Wednesday morning as road crews will be applying fresh oil to the roads in the village, officials said on Tuesday.

Motorists are asked to show caution in the following areas, where crews will be putting down the oil: Crews will be working on Singer Avenue from the Cemetery to Cass Street, on Warner Avenue between Cass Street to Logan Street and from Ridge Road to Wend Street and on Sobieski Street from Ledochwoski Street to Cass Street, the village said.

Drivers are advised to exercise caution and avoid the area if possible. Motorists who do need to pass through the effected areas are asked to drive slowly and be aware of road conditions and workers.
