Stars And Stripes Veterans Tribute Set For Thursday In Lemont

LEMONT, IL — As Fourth of July festivities approach, head out to the Lemont VFW Post to honor the men and women who have served our country at the Stars and Stripes Veterans Tribute.

The veterans tribute will be held at the Lemont VFW, 15780 New Ave., from 6 to 8 p.m. on June 26.

The annual event is free to attend, and the community is invited, but advance registration is required.

The event includes beer, bratwurst and other refreshments along with a tribute to veterans.

"Join us for a heartfelt ceremony recognizing our local heroes, followed by a casual gathering with brats, beer, and refreshments—a time to connect, reflect and enjoy great company," the park district said on its Facebook page.
