State Rep. La Ha Announces Run For Re-Election

State Rep. Nicole La Ha has announced she will run for re-election in 2026.

LEMONT, IL — State Representative Nicole La Ha has announced her campaign for re-election in the 82nd District, according to a release from her office.

“As a mom, a disability advocate, and a community servant, I know that the people of Illinois deserve better from their state government. I’ve worked to lower costs, end the grocery tax, improve early childhood education, expand access to mental healthcare, and protect victims of human trafficking," La Ha said in a release.

La Ha’s campaign is fueled by her belief that every family in Illinois deserves an affordable cost of living, lower taxes, a safe community and access to great schools, a release states.

"I’m not afraid to offer independent, common-sense solutions. That’s why I’ve opposed tax hikes, called for more transparency and accountability, and introduced a plan to radically bring down property tax costs for Illinois residents. I’m not driven by politics, I’m driven by delivering real results for families just like mine. My promise is simple: I will always put Illinois families first,” La Ha said.

La Ha is a former Homer Glen Village Trustee, and was first selected as 82nd District Representative in 2023, before she was elected in 2024 for her first full term. Her current term would end in January 2027.
