Timberline Knolls Academy Again Named a NASET School of Excellence
The on-campus school at the womens' addiction- and disorder-treatment facility has now won the award for four consecutive years.

Timberline Knolls Academy, the on-campus school at Timberline Knolls Residential Treatment Center in Lemont, has been selected as a 2013/2014 School of Excellence by the National Association of Special Education Teachers (NASET) for the fourth consecutive year.
According to a press release, the award is “the highest level of recognition a private special education school can achieve through the association” and is reserved for schools “that meet rigorous professional criteria and have demonstrated exceptional dedication, commitment and achievement in the field of special education.”
“This award is really a testament to the incredible staff we have at the academy,” said Carrie Finazzo, MEd, CAS, principal of Timberline Knolls Academy, in a press release. “Each teacher is not only highly credentialed, they all have the heart and compassion that is critical to working in this setting.
“I cannot praise our teaching staff enough for their dedication, innovation and giving spirit, no matter what the challenge may be.”
Located on 43 acres of land in northwestern Lemont and designed as a residential community, Timberline Knolls is a treatment center for girls and women with eating disorders, trauma, addictions, mood disorders and other disorders. The on-campus school offers education designed to be concurrent with patients’ treatment.
