Monday, March 26
Fourteen members of "Team Rockstar" shaved their heads and raised nearly $10,000 Saturday in memory of Macy Ganz, the daughter of Lemont firefighter Christian Ganz.
For the first time, union members negotiated directly with District 113A board members, saving the district approximately $20,000 in legal fees, officials said.

Lemont resident Chris Knollin opened Next Level Training Academy in January. The 10,000-square-foot facility specializes in the CrossFit program, as well as baseball training.
Susan Birkenmaier, the current director of operations for LaGrange Highlands School District 106, will assume her position in District 113A on July 1.

The community service organization recently celebrated a half-century of food drives, fundraisers, scholarships and advancements in vision testing for the village of Lemont and beyond.
