Probe Underway After Dead Body Found Near Metra Tracks In Libertyville

LIBERTYVILLE, IL — Authorities in Libertyville are investigating the death of a man whose body was found near the Metra tracks on Friday.

The Daily Herald is reporting the body was found by a Milwaukee District North Metra engineer around 5:30 p.m. Friday near Winchester Road and Ellis Avenue. He halted the train, and police were called in to investigate.

The cause of the man's death, as well as his identity, have not yet been released.
