Scarecrow Scramble

Lisle Community Park
The Lisle Park District will host its annual Scarecrow Scramble Oct. 5. Participants may dress up in costumes for the race, which includes an all-ages 5K run/walk, a youth run for kids ages five to 11 years old and a tot dash for kids two to four years old.

Through Oct. 2, registration is $45 for the all-ages 5K, $35 for the youth run and $10 for the tot dash. Prices increase on Oct. 3 Click the link to register for Scarecrow Scramble.
Pumpkin Painting
Oct. 12 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The Museums at Lisle Station Park
Kids of all ages are welcome to this family-friendly pumpkin-painting event at The Museums at Lisle Station Park. Paint, brushes and pumpkins are provided for paid participants.

Monster Madness
Oct. 19 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Community Park, 1800 Short St., Lisle
This Halloween-themed event is packed with fun activities for kids ages two to 10 years old. Kids can enjoy a bounce house, a petting zoo, pony rides, face painting, a pumpkin patch, spooky games and more.
Participants are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes and the event will be held rain or shine. A prize bag and a pumpkin will be given to the first 300 children who are registered.
The cost to pre-register is $20 per child through Oct. 18. Registration is $25 per child on the day of the event. Click the link to register for Monster Madness.
Creepy Critters Halloween Open House
Oct. 23 from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Benedictine University Juricha-Suchy Nature Museum
Bats and other nocturnal animals are the focus of the Creepy Critters Halloween Open House at Benedictine University's Juricha-Suchy Nature Museum. Participants are encouraged to wear costumes to the family-friendly event, which also features trick-or-treating, a scavenger hunt and fall-themed games.
