7 Tickets Issued During Thanksgiving Safety Campaign In Lisle

Lisle police increased enforcement to between Nov. 18 and No. 28 as part of a statewide initiative.

LISLE, IL — Seven tickets were issued to motorists during a recent traffic safety campaign in Lisle for the Thanksgiving holiday.

The safety initiative, which included increased patrols, kicked off Nov. 18 and extended through Nov. 28. The following tickets were issued:

  • Three distracted driving citations
  • Two speeding tickets
  • One ticket for disobeying a stop sign
  • One ticket for driving without insurance

“Our officers patrol year-round to keep motorists safe and impaired drivers off the roads,” Lisle
Police Chief Kevin Licko said in a statement.

He added, "We do this to save lives and ensure all of us make it to our destination safely."

Lisle's safety campaign was part of the "Click It or Ticket" and "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaigns, which are partly funded by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
