Cops To Increase Patrols To Combat Distracted Driving In Lisle

Police in Lisle will increase patrols as part of Distracted Driving Awareness Month.

LISLE, IL — Lisle police are set to crack down on distracted driving during a safety initiative that will span the month of April. The campaign is part of Distracted Driving Awareness month, when drivers are also expected to run into traffic safety enforcement zones in the city as well.

“Distracted driving is one of the leading causes of motor vehicle crashes on our roads today,” Lisle Police Chief Kevin Licko said in a statement.

Licko added, “During Distracted Driving Awareness Month, Lisle Officers will increase enforcement efforts, stopping anyone who is texting and driving.”
