Detours In Effect On Part Of Main Street Amid Sanitary Sewer Work
Traffic is being detoured on part of Main Street in Lisle as crews perform sanitary sewer maintenance.

LISLE, IL — Detours are in effect on part of Main Street in Lisle to accommodate crews as they perform sanitary sewer maintenance. The detour, which went into effect Thursday, largely affects traffic between Short Street and Jonquil Avenue on Main Street.
Drivers can choose between two different detour routes.
The first reroutes northbound commuters via Jonquil Avenue to Center Avenue. From there, they will head west down Riedy Road to reach Main Street again. Southbound drivers can use Riedy Road to reach Center Avenue before heading back west to Main Street via Jonquil.

Alternatively, motorists can use route 53 to skirt the Main Street closure.
It's anticipated the detours may be in effect until late November.
