Holiday Lights Lost Their Spark? Recycle Them In Lisle
Lisle's 2025 Holiday Lights Recycling initiative is accepting strands of lights, no matter their condition.
LISLE, IL — Why does it seem inevitable that there'll be a strand of lights that doesn't work as you're decorating for the holidays? Lisle's 2025 Holiday Lights Recycling initiative offers a way to get rid of those duds without relegating them to a landfill.
Lisle residents can unload their old holiday lights in the lobby of Lisle Village Hall, 925 Burlington Ave.
Below is a list of the items you can drop off to be recycled. Light displays will not be accepted:

- C7 light strands
- C9 light strands
- Extension cords
- LED light strands
- Rope lights
Lights can be dropped off anytime between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The village will accept holiday lights for recycling through Jan. 30.
