Lisle Cops Dole Out 19 Tickets During Recent Crackdown

Lisle police ticketed 19 drivers during a "Click It or Ticket" crackdown for the Memorial Day holiday.

LISLE, IL — Lisle police issued 19 citations as part of a recent "Click It or Ticket" crackdown during the Memorial Day holiday.

Tickets were issued and arrests were made for the following citations during this period of increased enforcement:

  • Five speeding tickets
  • Two traffic signal tickets
  • Nine tickets for use of cellphones, electronic devices
  • Two seat belt tickets
  • One arrest for driving with a suspended license

“Through the Memorial Day enforcement campaign, we helped make the Village of Lisle
roads safer and spread the word that seat belts and child safety restraints save lives,” Lisle Police Chief Kevin Licko said in a news release.

The statewide "Click It or Ticket" campaign is made possible with federal highway safety funds from the Illinois Department of Transportation.
