Lisle Cops To Target Drunk, Impaired Drivers For 4th Of July Weekend
Police in Lisle are encouraging drivers to stay sober or designate a sober driver as the Fourth of July holiday approaches.
LISLE, IL — Fourth of July 2023 is fast approaching and Lisle police are planning to crack down on drunk and impaired driving as part of their annual safety campaign.
Residents will notice increased patrols during the initiative, which started June 16.
"It’s really pretty simple: If you’re going to be driving, don’t drink or do any drugs, including
marijuana,” Lisle Chief of Police Kevin Licko said in a news release. "Extra Lisle officers will be working to remove impaired drivers from the roads and enforce all other traffic laws. We’re doing it to save lives."
