LISLE, IL — Lisle is prepping to update its Comprehensive Land Use Plan for the first time in nearly 20 years and the village asking residents for input.

The Comprehensive Land Use Plan designates policies and land use initiatives that aim to honor the current character of Lisle's design and also identify options for growth in the future. According to an update from village officials, the plan was last updated in 2004.

In late 2022, Lisle hired urban design firm Houseal Lavigne to help update the Comprehensive Land Use Plan with the aim of focusing on the village's business corridors, its publicly owned property and areas that are in the regulatory floodplain. Land use maps for current and future use will also be designed.
