Lisle Police To Increase Patrols During Labor Day Weekend
Police will be out in full force in Lisle through Sept. 6 to target impaired and distracted driving and other traffic violations.
LISLE, IL — Police in Lisle will be out in full force to crack down on impaired and distracted driving before and during the upcoming Labor Day weekend. The crackdown, which started Aug. 19, will run through Sept. 6.
“We’ve added additional staffing, and we’ll be out in force to keep impaired drivers off the roads to ensure our community’s residents and visitors make it home safely once the parties end,” Lisle
Police Chief Kevin Licko said in a news release about the safety campaign.
Police suggest residents use the following tips to help ensure safety:

- Party hosts should help find sober drivers for guests
- Hosts should offer nonalcoholic drink options
- Drivers should ask a friend for a ride, use a ride share service or sleep until they are sober, if possible
- Do not allow friends to drive if they are impaired
- Wear a seatbelt
The crackdown in Lisle is part of a statewide initiative linked to the“Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign.
