'No Kings' Rally Planned In Lisle To Oppose Trump's Policies

LISLE, IL — A "No Kings" rally will be held in Lisle Oct. 18 to protest what organizers called Donald Trump's "chaos, corruption and cruelty," per the event description. The rally, set to take place at 3080 Ogden Ave., will coincide with hundreds of similar events planned throughout the United States.

No Kings rallies were also held on June 14 in response to Trump's policies and rhetoric amid his planned 250th Anniversary Parade for the U.S. Army, on the same day as the president's birthday.

The No Kings rally page states, "Our peaceful movement is only getting bigger and stronger. 'NO KINGS' is more than just a slogan—it’s the foundation our nation was built upon. Born in the streets, carried by millions in chants and on posters, it echoes from city blocks to rural town squares, uniting people across this country to fight dictatorship together."

The Lisle rally is scheduled for 11 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.
