Veggie Fest Comes To Lisle Aug. 10-11

LISLE, IL — Lisle is set to host Veggie Fest 2024 Aug. 10 and Aug. 11. The two-day festival will feature food demos and vendors, talks from wellness and nutrition experts, live music and other activities.

More than two dozen vegan and vegetarian vendors will be on hand, offering plant-based and gluten-free eats. Here's a peek at the food that will be available to purchase:

Head to the food demo tent between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday to learn veggie-friendly cooking tips from professional chefs. Featured demos include how to make crepes stuffed with mung daal and tofu ricotta, how to craft your own melon juice and how to use seasonal vegetables to make vegetarian lasagna.

Several experts and doctors are set to speak about nutrition, healthy lifestyles and more during the festival. Speakers include Dr. Natalie Santiago-Brown, spiritual guide Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj and Dr. Saraswati Sukumar.

Kids can enjoy arts and crafts, games, a photo booth and face painting at the family-friendly event.

There will several opportunities for attendees to meditate, practice yoga or enjoy live world music from Funkadesi, Afinc'ao, Gizzae, Rico and Zach.

Entry to Veggie Fest is free. Food tickets will be available to purchase onsite.
