Village Board To Consider Liquor License For Crazy Tortas
The Ogden Avenue Eatery is seeking a Class 2 liquor license to permit beer, wine and cocktail sales.

LISLE, IL — Crazy Tortas is hoping to add liquor sales to its offerings. The Ogden Avenue eatery has applied for a Class 2 liquor license, which the Lisle Village Board will consider at it March 3 meeting.
This liquor license permits alcohol to be sold and consumed onsite and packaged alcohol to be purchased and consumed offsite.
Crazy Tortas opened its doors in 2022 and specializes in tortas, along with tacos, burritos, quesadillas and other types of Mexican cuisine. In their application, the petitioners write that they hope to "enhance customer experience" with the addition of a "curated list" of beer, wine and cocktails.

They add that liquor sales will help increase revenue for the restaurant and village alike, while also drawing in diners from surrounding towns.
To grant Crazy Tortas a Class 2 liquor license, trustees must approve changing village code to increase the total permitted Class 2 liquor licenses by one. As of March 2025, 21 businesses hold Class 2 liquor licenses in Lisle.

The village board will vote on the ordinance March 3 at 7 p.m. at Lisle Village Hall.
