You Can Still Splash at Splash Pad

The Dragonfly Landing Splash Pad will close for the season Tuesday. Splash Pad hours are 11 am - 6 pm daily.

PrairieWalk Pond and the play area will remain open.

Aquatic Park Open Through Monday

The weather may be iffy, but there may be a chance for two more days of fun.

Sea Lion Aquatic Park, 1825 Short St. is open Sunday at 11:30 a.m. for pass holders' early entry and the rest of the day, 12-8 p.m. for open swim. On Monday, it is open 12-6 for the final open swim of the season.

Swim Club is Open for Holiday

The pool at the Meadows Swim and Tennis Club will be open 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday and Monday, the last day of the pool season.

The club is holding a Chili Cook-Off & Kids Day at noon Sunday and Monday. Call 630-964-0064 for more information.

Nature Museum Open House Sunday

Be sure to visit the Jurica-Suchy Nature Museum located on the second floor of the Birck Hall of Science at Benedictine University in Lisle. The museum kicks off the semester from 2-4pm Sunday.

Admission is always free and open to the public. Regular hours resume after Labor Day: 1-5 p.m. Monday - Friday and 2-4 p.m. Sundays.

The Jurica-Suchy Nature Museum is a small natural history museum located on the second floor of the Michael and Kay Birck Hall of Science at Benedictine University. The museum represents the work of Fr. Hilary Jurica, O.S.B. and his brother, Fr. Edmund Jurica, O.S.B. who collected specimens for their students to use during their almost 100 combined years of teaching at Benedictine University. The museum has continued to collect specimens since their deaths in the early 1970's and now has a collection numbering almost 10,000 specimens ranging from a tiny aphid to a roqual skeleton. Morton Arboretum's Holiday Schedule

The Morton Arboretum has five activities to choose from over the Labor Day weekend. Plans include breakfast, biking, hiking and programs. For the full schedule for Sunday and Monday, click here.

Naperville Last Fling Through Monday

From eating contests to national musical acts, there will be something for everyone at this year’s Naperville Jaycees’ Last Fling, which is taking place through Monday along at Main Street and Jackson Avenue in downtown Naperville. Events, such as a carnival, begin at 10 a.m.

The musical lineup for Sunday: Blue Oyster Cult performs at 6 p.m. on the Main Stage. Four-time Grammy winner Pat Benatar is scheduled to play at 8 p.m.

Ticket prices for the main stage are $15 Sunday and free Monday in honor of Military Appreciation Day. Along with music, the Last Fling will have a number of kid-friendly events taking place in the free Family Fun Land area on the Naper Settlement grounds. Kids can enjoy ice cream eating contests, duck races and meet Debbie Ryan from Disney’s “Jessie” TV series.
