What Triggers The Super Hero Within You?

You may recall the tragic news stories of Florida's Gabby Petito who was killed last Fall. Even in death, she continues to be a part of our current news as we are taken back to what was or was not done to assist her by others. What has not been reported, is that Gabby Petito was an adult, who made poor choices & had numerous opportunities to seek help. Regardless of the reasons she failed to seek help - there were opportunities available to her.

However, what has not received much Press is 5 year old, Damari Perry of Chicago. On or about January 12, 2022, Damari was being punished for whatever heinous crime a 5 year old can commit. He was said to have been forced into a cold shower until he threw up & passed out; & he had "deep bruising & bleeding underneath - on his right leg." "The autopsy also found that he had a very cold core temperature & his internal organs were partially frozen. There were also charring & thermal burns that he suffered after he died, the Coroner's office said." Damari died one day before his 6th birthday of hypothermia, the Coroner said. Those who knew of Damari's life journey - failed him.

Some would agree, that we, as Americans, are failing our Country in not defending Her during this time of never-ending Crisis; & we are therefore, failing each other, including our Children.

We are silenced from discussion as "Big Tech" decides what can & cannot be said. We are limited in travel. Many of our schools are closed, as our Children are forced back to online learning (oxymoron). Thousands of Americans are jobless, as prices soar. Our two main political Parties no longer "agree to disagree," but resort to threats that effect every American. Our borders are overrun with not only unvetted people, but serious criminals. Criminals are being protected as our Police Officers are being attacked & killed. Our grocery shelves are becoming bare across our Country. Conservatives are labeled "insurrectionists"(?), simply because we have traditional ideology.

If we do not know the political beliefs of our Neighbor, our Clergy, our Doctor - do we detest them or do we base our judgment on their kindness toward us; on polite interaction? Democrats & Republicans are being incited to hate & attack one another - why? Because "United We Stand - Divided We Fall."

Americans must unite on our own, and say "ENOUGH" to our politicians. We, & our Loved Ones, cannot continue to be the pawns in this political "snatch & grab" while the World around us is destroyed. When was the last time you laughed out loud? When was the last time you had a joyous celebration? When was the last time your child was thrilled when they came home from school? When was the last time you traveled to see a beautiful part of our World? When was the last time you Worshiped? When was the last time your Spirit sored with gratitude?

This timely virus is said to be the "root" cause of everything unacceptable. It is time for Americans to take control of their health. If you are sick, stay home til well; if you feel safer, wear a mask. Ask yourself: If the government is now demanding that certain asymptomatic workers, including healthcare workers, with the virus can return to work - what does that tell you? I do not profess to know the fact based answers to my questions.

This is not to say that we have not lost thousands of Loved Ones, but it is to say that we cannot live in never-ending fear. Per Psychology Today: " Being fearless doesn't mean eliminating fear. It means knowing how to leverage fear." "The more scared you feel, the scarier things will seem." "And fear of fear can keep you locked in a cage of insecurity." "Being continuously in fright mode can lead to hopelessness and depression."

"Nothing Changes, If Nothing Changes." Where to begin? To be of Service to others, & ourselves, we must contact our federal & State leaders, & tell them what is important to us as Americans.
