Lawn Watering Regulations In Manhattan In Effect Through Sept. 15
Lawn watering is only permitted for even-numbered houses on even-numbered days, and odd-numbered houses on odd-numbered days.
MANHATTAN, IL — The Village of Manhattan is reminding residents that lawn watering regulations are in effect through Sept. 15.
Those with even-numbered addresses may water their lawn on even-numbered days, and odd-numbered addresses on odd-numbered days, according to the Village.
Even or odd, lawn watering is permitted only between 7 a.m. to 11 a.m., and between 7 p.m. and 11 p.m.

There are no special exceptions for new sod or seed, according to the Village.
Anyone caught breaking the regulations will face a fine of $75, according to the Manhattan Police Department.
