Photography Workshop

The Photo Love Workshop is back! This four-week workshop is for anyone who would like to expand their minds, skills and talent in photography, and get more out of their digital camera. All skill levels are welcome. Lessons are tailored to the needs and interests of the students!

All gatherings will be at jean lachat photography’s studio: 11210 Front Street, Mokena on the second floor. The workshop fee is $88 for four sessions. It’s more fun with a friend, so when both of you register it’s just $78 each! Payment is due in full to be registered. What’s covered?

Week 1 | Monday, April 25th 7-8:30 PM | Beyond Auto.Bring your camera and manual (if available) to class. We will talk about the settings and language of the digital camera. What settings are best for what circumstances. Why you should want to use semi-manual and full manual modes. Studying light and making sense of exposure.

Week 2 | Monday, May 9th 7-8:30 PM | Aperture.Bring “homework” images back to class, as well as your laptop or tablet. Basic evaluation of images provided. Learn how move images from the camera to your digital device. More discussion about light and the use of aperture for exposure and composition.

Week 3 | Monday, May 16th 7-8:30 PM | Photos that {Move}.Evaluate “homework” images from the previous week. Discuss shutter speeds and how to show movement and stop movement in your images. How does shutter speed affect your exposure and composition?

Week 4 | Monday, May 23rd 7-8:30 PM | Basic Editing.Evaluate “homework” images from the previous week. In class shoot with lights and basic editing skills to bring home with you.
